Vertical Portal Centres VZP

The WEMAS VZP production series is your strong partner, when it comes to the machining of large complex parts. The VZP centres are characterized by their well-engineered technology and excellent accessibility.
As leading elements for all axes highly accurate linear guides of large dimensions are used. This construction allows a quick, precise and stable guidance of the table at highest loading capacity. This machine offers as standard a central lubrication. Long lifetime at high freedom from maintenance as well as high rapid feed and feed velocities are further advantages of this system.
The feed movements in the different axes are realised via ball screw spindles and stable spindle nuts in pre-tensed design. All axes are driven by powerful digital AC axis drives. These are the most important conditions for milling contour accuracy. Corresponding distance measuring systems provide for high rerun and positioning accuracy.

For increase of machining accuracy and reduction of thermal influences in the machine it is provided with cooled ball screw spindles. Absolute glass gauges as well as the standard tool laser measurement belong to the standard scope of delivery.
